Melanie Block LD, has been in business for 19 years.  Melanie Block retired in 2020 and First Impressions Denture Studio was born to carry on Melanies legacy with her staff and artisans. Melanie returned in 2024 and continues her legacy as one of Portland’s best denturists to assist as one of our technicians finishes school to become the next denturist at First Impressions Denture Studio, a student that has learned everything under Melanie Block. First Impressions Denture Studio is one of the few remaining denture facilities that builds dentures from the plaster model on up.  We don’t use 3D printing, we don’t use pre-made dentures, our products are worked on from beginning to end by trained dental laboratory technicians on site by our own specialists. We are growing and expanding to help everyone have that perfect smile. Our new location also has special stations for our ADA patients that can't get into a dental chair, we have designed our facility to make sure everyone is as comfortable as possible.
